Dear Les
Thank you so much for the books and the superb novels.
You sure have lived the life and have a nice light touch in describing it.
I loved the novels.
Here is my blurb
Les Edgerton is the reincarnation of our beloved Eddie Bunker.
The writing is as tough and tender as Bunker with that wonderful sense of dry humour that underpins even the most violent of scenes.
This guy can write and like a focused Bukowski.
Make no mistake, here is the real deal.
The books cry out for movie deals.
Warmest wishes
Ken Bruen
I read every writing book that comes down the pike, and I like a lot of them. But I LOVE Hooked / write fiction that grabs readers at page one and never lets them go! As punchy as Les Edgerton’s hard-hitting fiction, Hooked takes no prisoners. Clear, simple, direct, it offers something fresh in every chapter. I recommend it to all my students and even my colleagues. Your writing library won’t be complete without it.

Really sorry about the dog. I think I still have that picture of my cat reading Finding Your Voice. Maybe she got the memo.
I am so sorry about your dog. We have a 13yr old, amongst our pack of 4. I know he has not many years to go, he still runs like he did as a pup though.
I shout a lot at ours, but they get under your skin.
Happy Scribbling.
Thanks, Tiffany and Glynis. My wife was really devastated but she's handling it. I guess I shed a tear or two, also...
Ah, I'm sorry! The worst is their not being around any more. I still "see" my cat under tables and on the sofa sometimes, and she's been gone for years.
My kids read stories to our dog. She loves it.
Sex Scenes... your KIDS read to your dog? What a novel idea! We always had Buddy read to us... I have a cat also... well, some people say it's a cat, but it isn't as I swore never to have a cat, so he's a dog that just looks like a cat to the uninformed. His name is Jake and he loves to read us Lee Child novels...
I'm so sorry about your dog, Les! Animals really do become part of the family. You should post the picture of him reading the book - that would be cool. :-)
I absolutely LOVE that picture! Thanks for sharing it, Les. I can see why it was an award winner. :-)
Thanks, Shannon. That was a fun project and I was so proud of Mike for coming up with the idea and doing everything himself... except for the peanut butter idea!
Oh, I feel so sorry that your companion died. I had two Boykin Spaniels who were wonderful. They got me through the grief after my husband died. They followed me wherever I went. They loved to sing in unison and would go get their leashes when they wanted to go for a walk. Mr. Fudge and Miss Honey died within months of each other. They were 15 years old and I still miss them and it is a grief that lingers even after a year. Pets are so wonderful and sometimes I think about getting another dog, but not yet.
Thanks, KFW. BTW, I love your chicken! Oops... just realized yours are different initials...
Spaniels are wonderful dogs. When I was a kid, we had a springer, named Penny as she was the color of a copper cent.
I asked Mary if she wanted to get another dog and she said no; you can't replace a dog or a person. I'd thought she was getting over Buddy's loss, but today she broke down and cried again. Said all week she'd been telling folks at work she was okay, that she knew it was time and best for him, but she said it all came back on Sunday. He was her buddy when she did yard work or whatever. For years, my son Mike and I were always out of town for baseball tournaments and she said Buddy was there as her friend when we were gone and Sundays just brings it all back. Thanks for your words--we appreciate them.
