Where we work...
Hi folks,
Luca Veste just did a kind of different article today over at Crime Fiction Lover, showing where some of his writer friends (including yours truly) write. Kind of interesting...

Hey Les, Cool-lookin' space in which to write...reminds me of a used-book store I once worked in...people would find books they wanted there even if they didn't know they had wanted them when walking through the front door. And a window to look out of in the midst is important, I think. Who knows maybe those kids'll do something so amazing when you least expect it that they'll end up in a story of yours. Me, I live out in the country, with oleanders and fig trees lined up a few feet west of my writing room window; now through the bare fig branches, on clear days I can see the coast range dividing the valley from the Bay Area. The other day I saw a red-tailed hawk's talons snap closed just above a ground squirrel, who dove in his hole just out of reach. Then the hawk sat there a moment, looked up at me lookin' at him (my jaw dropping) through my window as if to say, "What the hell you lookin' at?"
Brian, I'll trade you! That sounds awesome! Man, I'm jealous!
